Immigrant Rights
No human being is illegal, and we must welcome everyone to the Hudson Valley. That’s why I’m fighting to:
- Provide benefits to all. The Unemployment Bridge Program and Coverage For All would make everyone eligible for the social safety net and health insurance.
- Protect undocumented immigrants. The New York for All and Dignity Not Detention Acts would limit collaboration with federal immigration enforcement and keep families together. The Access to Representation Act would ensure a right to counsel for all immigrants facing deportation in New York.
- Expand language access. We must ensure that state agencies are accessible to all New Yorkers, no matter what language they speak.

- Voting with Republicans against protecting undocumented immigrants from deportation during Trump’s first month in office.
- Failing to support the Unemployment Bridge Program, Coverage for All, the New York for All Act, and the Dignity Not Detention Act.
